This is one of the oldest types of squash dating back to pre-Columbus times. Popular to the home grower for its ribbed and bell shaped rich yellow/orange fruit, it is easy to grow and great eating.

Soil Your soil should be free- draining and moderately fertile, so add compost before planting. It will tolerate a number of soil types.
Soil pH Level 6.5–7.0
Position Full sun with plenty of room to move. Position on the edge of your growing space, allowing it to creep away from your growing space.
How to Plant Sow the seeds directly into the patch once daytime temperatures are regularly more than 20 degrees, otherwise propagate in a mini greenhouse and transplant. Squash are more suitable for an in ground veggie patch.

We send seed packet only orders under $50 via Australia Post envelope post, so we recommend choosing express postage if you are in a hurry.
