'Johnny Jump Up' Viola is an easy growing edible flower that invites helpful pollinators and predatory insects into the veggie patch.

How To Plant: Use a free draining soil well integrated with compost, or good quality potting mix when growing in pots. Can be planted directly into the spring garden or, alternatively, raise the seeds indoors or in a mini greenhouse 6-8 weeks before the last frost.

What To Plant Into: Wall Garden + Pots + In-Ground

Food Use: Tiny flower heads are ideal for decoration, dessert and candying.

Flowering Season: Year around in temperate climates. 

When To Plant:
Zone 1: (January-March) + (September-November)
Zone 2: (January-May) + (September-November)
Zone 3: (February-November)
Zone 4: (March-October)
